In one paragraph

Octeasy is the reading comfort widget designed, coded and sold by Studjoow: one line of script adds a small button to a site, and every visitor adapts the display to the way they read, with 27 settings and 8 profiles (dyslexia, low vision, ADHD, light sensitivity, older readers...). No cookies, no trackers, free for one site. It does not make a site meet accessibility standards such as WCAG or the French RGAA, and does not replace an audit.

On the sites the studio builds, readers do not all have the same needs: some are dyslexic, some have low vision, others are tired by an overly bright screen. The widget was first built for them, on sites about disability at work, then became a product in its own right, with its own name and its own domain.

What Studjoow built inside Octeasy.

Brand

  • Octeasy name, "easy reading for everyone" tagline and wordmark drawn at the studio
  • Animated octopus mascot: eight arms, like the eight widget profiles
  • Honest messaging about its limits: reading comfort, never a compliance promise

Widget

  • 27 settings: text size, dyslexia font, spacing, contrast, reading mask and ruler, magnifier
  • Read-aloud using only the voices installed on the device: no text is sent to an online service
  • A single file of about 29 KB compressed, no dependencies, loaded with defer; Alt + Shift + A shortcut and keyboard navigation

Site and integrations

  • Next.js site in French and English, with one page per reading need and a frank page on what the widget does not do
  • WordPress plugin, PrestaShop module and guides for Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, React and Next.js
  • Installed on studjoow.com: the small reading button on this site is Octeasy

Frequently asked.

Does Octeasy make a site meet accessibility standards?
No. Octeasy is a reading comfort tool: it lets each visitor adapt the display. Whether a site meets accessibility standards such as WCAG or the French RGAA depends on its code and content, is measured by an audit and is achieved through fixes the widget does not replace.
How much does Octeasy cost?
The free plan covers one site, forever. The Essential and Pro plans are listed at 9 EUR and 29 EUR excl. VAT per month (indicative prices), and the Agency plan is on quote. Visitors always get every feature, whatever the plan.
Does the widget set cookies?
No cookies and no trackers. Visitor settings stay in their browser, and only if they changed something.
Which sites does it work on?
Any site: one line of script is enough. There is also a WordPress plugin and a PrestaShop module, and the Installation page covers the other tools.
