Our commitment
Studjoow wants its website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their disability, device or connection. Our reference is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, which also underpins the French RGAA and the Israeli standard SI 5568.
Conformance status
The studjoow.com website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This is a self-assessment: the site has not undergone a full manual audit by a third party, so we do not claim full conformance.
What has been done
The work carried out so far covers the following points:
- Text contrast raised to meet the 4.5:1 ratio required by level AA, aiming for a 5:1 margin.
- Automated testing with axe-core (the engine behind Lighthouse) on 32 pages in May 2026, with no contrast or ARIA failure remaining after the fixes.
- Semantic page structure: ordered headings, lists, explicit links and buttons.
- Decorative images hidden from screen readers, meaningful images given a text alternative.
- Pages available in French and English, with the language declared in the document.
Known limitations
Automated testing only catches part of the accessibility issues. The following points have not been checked exhaustively and may cause problems:
- Full keyboard navigation and focus visibility on every page and interactive component.
- Compatibility with each screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Animated or interactive components (carousels, before/after sliders, price simulators, charts): their accessible equivalent may be incomplete.
- Content inherited from the former WordPress site, some articles and visuals of which have not been reviewed one by one.
- PDF documents (quotes, invoices, guides): not all of them are tagged for assistive technologies.
- Embedded third-party services (Stripe payment, videos, Google reviews, appointment booking) whose accessibility we do not control.
